opening remote files - ftp sites

When opening a remote file on an ftp server, you see a dropdown box, but I cannot find a way to save ftp sites (or am I mistaken ?).

There is File -> Save As Remote. Is that what you're looking for?

No, I was wondering whether I could save several ftp location with login credentials, in order not to enter them every time I want to open/save a remote file. Clear now ?

Ah, I see. Unfortunately no, it doesn't save that information. I didn't want to get into saving passwords on the file system and have people yell at me for not encrypting the passwords sufficiently. I'd be happy to save the FTP hosts and associated user id's if you opened a Feature Request to remind me. If you really, really wanted passwords saved, I could make it an opt-in option and warn that saving passwords always implies some level of security risk, like Eclipse does.
