Re: latex and ctags

RText uses Exuberant ctags if configured to, to get tags for most supported languages. Unfortunately it does not provide support for LaTeX. A hand-made parser could be created for that language, as that's what we do for XML and Java, but I'm not familiar enough with LaTeX to do that myself. If you're interested in contributing though, contributions are always welcome!

latex and ctags

Hi,

RText is a really great achievement. I has been following the RText development since 2009, and I like it a lot (before I was working mainly with JEdit).
I'm thinking about how to replace aging SCaVis IDE (from http://jwork.org/scavis) with something based on RText. I have however a small question: does "ctags" method work for LaTeX files? I noted that the left panel with ctag is empty for my LaTeX document (but it works for Java files).
SCaVIs IDE uses a simple Java-based ctags, but it's is done only for a few languages.

best, S.Chekanov
