Mostly because I'm lazy. :) One day when I'm feeling ambitious I might make the switch, but for now SVN is sufficient.

Why are you guys using SVN instead of Git? Would be a lot easier to be able to fork a project. I'm not that familiar with SVN, but my experience hasn't been very good (not your project, more generally).
