Thanks Bloghette. That method isn't marked with @Override because RSTA builds with "-source 1.5", so we cannot mark interface method implementations as overridden, only methods that override a prior implementation.

In the class

org.fife.ui.rtextarea.ChangeableHighlightPainter.java

the method

public void paint(Graphics g, int offs0, int offs1, Shape bounds,
JTextComponent c) {

requires the

@Override

annotation to make it consistent with the Formatter style rules adopted by the other classes of the same project.
