RSTA should display accents/umlauts just fine (assuming the current font supports those glyphs, which most do these days). Control codes however aren't supported. It can display a character at the end of each line (via setEOLMarkersVisible(true)), but note that this character is not different for LF vs. CRLF pairs (it's basically just there to be able to spot trailing whitespace on lines).

Display Special Characters?

Hi all,
Can RSyntaxTextArea display special characters, such as accents/umlauts, or control-codes such as SOH, STX, ETX (hex 1, 2, 3)?

thanks for any input or direction!
