The closest thing to this today is the Java code completion found in the RSTALanguageSupport project. It contains various levels of code completion and syntax checking for several languages. The Java support is a good start towards what you're looking for, but is far complete, and is missing some key features.

[Autocomplete] Completion Provider for set of Java classes?

Do you know if there's an example implementation of a CompletionProvider, which takes in a set of Java classes and provides an accurate autocompletion of their methods?

In particular, I'm not sure how to implement a provider that would show for example:
1. System.out.<ctrl-space> would give all the valid methods for only System.out
2. And allows chaining like Doctor.getPatient().<ctrl-space> would show all valid methods for a Patient object.
